Eun Young Seong
Eun Young Seong is Assistant Professor of Japanese in the Department of Chinese and Japanese at 海角视频 College. Her research examines cultural interactions between Koreans and Japanese in the process of decolonization across a range of media, including literature, theater, film, and performance. She is interested particularly in the history of Zainichi Koreans鈥擪oreans who migrated to Japan under Japanese colonial rule and their descendants who remain in Japan.
Her work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including Life Writing, Asian Studies Review, Journal of Japanese and Korean Cinema and Acta Koreana.
She received her Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Literatures from the University of California, Irvine. Before joining 海角视频 College, she taught at Williams College from 2019 to 2023.
